Happy Boxing Day!
I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and is getting pumped for the New Year….
Now when I was queuing up all these recipes, finals week was something that seemed so far away (and rightfully so). And that’s why as I post this recipe, I can hardly believe I’m having my last week of classes!…
Things that are happening in my life right now: midterms and copious amounts of hot chocolate.
Things that aren’t: sleep. Which I miss….
This is my 100th post! I feel like I should do something special, like they do with TV shows.
You know, like bake a cake with an obnoxiously large “100th!” topper and get all my friends around to take pictures with champagne glasses. Except… I’m at college….
My first memory of Japanese food involves udon.

Oh, kitchen fails. When your counter has been floured, wiped down, and floured again and you are slowly depleting your brown sugar supply with nothing to show for it.
Sometimes, (especially when it comes to vegan baking) things (yes I’m talking about you, crumbly linzer cookies!) don’t work out. So I like to beat the complicated-baking-frustration with simple but delicious foods….
There are a lot of fancy-schmancy desserts I want to try, but I’m a little intimidated by.
Macarons, for one. Homemade puff pastry. Croissants. Donuts….
I’m calling it right now, this is the prettiest salad you’ll ever eat.
Raw beets just do the most gorgeous things when it comes to color, am I right?…
